About Images by Khan and Murray
Ejay Khan and Chris Murray met at Beacon Hill Art Walk in June 2007 and soon became good friends, working together renovating the space for the 80 Border Street Cultural Exchange Center, programming and working events. In April 2009, the opportunity arose to rent the space at 6 Bremen St. - a main streets retail art and art services location - so they became business partners and opened Images by Khan and Murray. Ejay moved to East Boston in 2003 when she returned to MA after living in Jamaica and the Florida Keys for many years. She opened Khan Studio, a printing, framing, artist work studio and exhibit space at 80 Border Street and became involved with the East Boston Artist Group, East Boston Open Studios, 80 Border Street Cultural Exchange Center and the East Boston community. She is a painter, photographer, graphic artist, printer and framer who has done work for many East Boston and greater Boston nonprofits, businesses, artists and residents. She also operates an online gallery, www.khanstudiointernational.com. Her work has been shown extensively and is owned by people around the globe. Chris has lived in East Boston for 20 years, doing renovation and building repairs on Beacon Hill, all the while honing his photographic skills. He became involved with the 80 Border Street artist community in 2007, where he first showed his beautiful photography and woodworking abilities. He has shown his work at Beacon Hill Art Walk, 303 Cafe, Logan Airport, Firehouse Lofts, 80 Border Street Cultural Exchange Center, Dough and now at Images and Studio #221 at 80 Border Street. Chris also has a website at www.kipchris.com where you can view his digital photograph illustrations. His photographs at Images and 80 Border Street are complete art pieces framed in beautiful frames handmade by Chris uniquely for each photograph. He also creates beautiful wood signs, such as the ones below at Angela's Cafe and here at Images.
